Demi Lovato has a special airing on MTV and she announced the news in a creative way.
Posting a photo of the tattoos on her wrists which read “Stay Strong” – she wrote: “Lovatics-I wanted to tell you FIRST about a special I worked on with @MTV. It premieres March 6th at 10pm!!”
The 19-year-old got inked with the tattoos last March shortly after she left an Illinois treatment center. At the time she was dealing with personal issues including an eating disorder and cutting.
She said at the time, “The journey that I went through and the support of my fans was so meaningful to me that I wanted to thank my fans in a way that I know can never be forgotten. It’s something that my fans were actually drawing on their wrists while I was still in treatment. Some people even got tattoos of it, so I wanted to show you guys that I will never forget the support that you guys gave me.”
Demi recently was rumored to have gone back into a treatment center when she didn’t show up at the Grammys. Her rep denied it saying “She’s not in rehab. She was not supposed to present at the Grammys.”
Instead a friend said she went on a planned trip to spend the week with a professional support team to help her with her ongoing physical and emotional issues.
When she returned she Tweeted: “Twitterrrr- I’m bacccckkk. Thanks guys for understanding I needed some time off from twitter this past week #yallarethebest.”
