Liam Hemsworth: “I Miss Australia A Lot”

Liam Hemsworth graces the March cover of GQ Style Australia looking every bit the dreamboat. The 22-year-old actor – and boyfriend of Miley Cyrus – talks about missing his family, surfing, and his co-star Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games.

On missing home: “My family and friends back in Australia have missed this part of my life; and it’s been a big part. That’s tough. I’m growing up without them. My parents don’t Skype. It’s tough with the time difference. I miss Australia a lot.”

On his parents: “My parents are good people who do good things for others. It can be a challenging example to live up to.”

On his love of surfing:  “I surfed competitively and made it to the state rounds where I was competing with the top surfers in Victoria. We traveled everywhere. All my friends were surfers. All we wanted to be was Kelly Slater.”

On Jennifer Lawrence: “Jennifer  would often try and make you laugh just before ‘Action,’ She’d say something funny. She’d get you and really surprise you, though, because you’d be rolling up, ready for them to say ‘Action,’ and she’d ask you some silly question about something. You’d hear it and be like, ‘Wait, what?’ And then ‘Action’ and you’d be like ‘OK. Thanks for that.’ It’s funny to her, I guess.”
