Liam Hemsworth appeared as a guest on Good Morning America in New York City on Tuesday morning (March 20). The Aussie actor had swooning fans surrounding him during the interview. He happily signed autographs and posed for pictures with the crowd. The 22-year-old talked to Josh Hutcherson about the much anticipated The Hunger Games.
He told Josh that when he first watched the movie – it was by himself.
“I requested to see it alone I think because there were so much expectations already and no one had seen the film, I really didn’t want it to suck. Now that I’ve see it, I feel great. It’s honestly one of the most powerful films I’ve seen.”
He also spoke of his admiration of co-star Jennifer Lawrence stating, “She’s one of the best actresses I’ve ever worked with. She’s perfect for this role. The character she plays is extremely courageous and young.”
Regarding getting in shape – he asked his brother and Thor star Chris Hemsworth.
He shared, “Not a lot of eating, that was the biggest thing. [Chris] heard I was eating too much. He told me, ‘It’s The Hunger Games, not The Eating Games,’ so I started training.”
He added, “He’s one of my biggest role models in the world. It makes it a little bit easier to have someone like him.”
