Big Time Rush Films Live Music Video From ‘The Kids’ Choice Awards’

Not only did Big Time Rush attend the Kids’ Choice Awards on March 31 – they filmed a music video there too!

During the ceremony the band won the award for Favorite Music Group and brought a camera crew to catch everything behind-the-scenes. The result is fun footage of the boys singing Time of Our Life.

Carlos Pena, 22, explains to the Los Angeles Times, “We literally had a camera crew (and) … we literally ran around during all the commercial breaks, shooting stuff. The cool part was we had no idea when the award was going to be announced, so we had to run back to our seats after filming. Since it was the first one up, it was like a shock to us. We ended up winning. The rest of the night was just a party, because our nerves were gone.”

Pena also helped with the Call Me Maybe viral video that featured Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale, and himself. In it the group is seen lip synching to Jepsen’s single.

He said, “I figured how interesting would it be to take a video with young teen celebrities who are all friends and show people that we’re just like everybody else.”
