The Wanted appeared on The ‘Today Show Tuesday morning (April 24) and sang their songs Glad You Came and Chasing The Sun. Their self-titled U.S. debut EP is also released today.

MTV was at the studio beforehand to watch the boys rehearse.

Siva Kaneswaran said, “We just arrived and we saw a 40-pound cat crawling across the floor. This is the kind of stuff that happens to the Wanted. It’s too early for this. There’s lots of big stuff happening today and were gonna do some crazy things.”

He also explained how the guys prep for an appearance on a show like Today.

“We prepared for this show this morning by having cups of tea and Cheerios, good for the heart. Basically, just psych each other, gaze into each other’s eyes and get excited, and that’s what gets us through the day.”

The fivesome are definitely having fun, especially with the ladies.

Jay McGuiness recently told the National Post, “We’re definitely more popular now with the ladies; before all this, I was terrible with girls. Some people might call it shallow, but it’s given me the opportunity that I wouldn’t have had.”

Tom Parker added in the interview, “If our fan base is 90% teen girls, which actually it isn’t, but a huge chunk is teenage girls, I think that’s great because they do like our songs. It’s not like, ‘I saw Nathan and he reminded me of Bieber.’ They heard it on the radio and a teen girl’s opinion of music should be as respected as a teen boy or an adult or anyone.”
