Taylor Lautner has been trying to break away from his Twilight persona. The next move is an action thriller called Tracers. It’s set to go to the Cannes Film Festival where the Twilight producers – Mary Bowen and Wyck Godfrey – will try to sell its distribution rights.
According to E! News – the hunky actor will play Cam – a bike messenger in New York City who is described as “the hottest thing on two wheels.” He crashes into a sexy stranger and is introduced to the world of parkour – an extreme sport focusing on movement around obstacles.
Deadline.com reports that it’s possible that a domestic deal will be made quickly. Godfrey says, “We had a remarkable experience with Taylor on Twilight and look forward to bringing Cam to life.”
In a past interview with Seventeen the young actor revealed the kind of parts he wants.
He said, “Everybody else always says Johnny Depp, but I wouldn’t mind Brad Pitt or Matt Damon. When people ask me whose career I’d want to have, I say Matt Damon. I love the Bourne series.”
One thing for sure – Taylor’s movie Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2 will be a hit when it premieres on November 16.
