Zendaya took to Twitter on Wednesday (May 30) to explain to her followers why she might not be returning their attention. “Just so you know…my parents are over protective; they won’t let me follow people I don’t know,” the Shake It Up star wrote. She then added, “Yah, it’s true, I’m not allowed to date!”
The 15-year-old honor student then explained that her schoolwork and grades came first before spending time online. “I hope u all understand…I am following u all in spirit and I try my BEST to respond as much as I can; gotta hit these books!! #HonorRoll”
And Zendaya realizes that her parents are only looking out for her best interests. “I don’t look at my over protective parents as a bad thing,” she writes. “They love me SO much! so it’s a good thing!
It’s obvious the young actress’ mom and dad aren’t your typical stage parents, and I think that’s refreshing. What do you think?
