Today is Lucy Hale’s 23rd birthday and what more can a girl want than get a record deal. The Pretty Little Liars star Tweeted the announcement on June 12.
“I can now share that I have recently been signed to Hollywood Records @HollywoodRecs ! I couldn’t be more excited to share my music with you”
She added that the album would be, “diff from anything you’ve ever heard from the label and not what you’d expect from me. Thanks for the support!”
Lucy first got her big break on American Juniors – the teen version of American Idol.
In a past interview with Hollywood Crush she revealed that she always wanted to be a singer.
She shared, “Well, the whole reason I got brought out to L.A. [was] I grew up my whole life singing; that’s what I wanted to do. Acting wasn’t even in the picture. I wanted to get a record deal. I was 15 at the time. The year before I had done ‘American Juniors,’ so we formed this group and we were signed to Jive Records. It was a great experience. I learned a lot about the music industry, and obviously that didn’t work out. It was a little discouraging. I was still striving for it.”
