Chloë Moretz is the new brand ambassador for Aéropostale. The 15-year-old actress will be featured in advertisements through to spring 2013. She said she got to choose and style her own outfits at the photo shoots.
The Dark Shadows star said, “I get my own section, I got to pull my own clothes. Girls can go and see what I love and what I wear in the shoots. It’s a way for me to be in touch with girls.”
Since the ads appeared in magazines a few weeks ago – Chloe says she sees a shift in her fan base.
“I was in the airport a few days ago and these girls were reading their Teen Vogues, and then the girls came up to me!”
Scott Birnbaum – senior vice president of Aéropostale marketing and e-commerce – says the brand instantly knew she was the one.
He said, “When we met Chloe, it was really an instant love affair. She has such great style, she can mix it up. She wears great high-end designers and everyday stuff. We think she’s a role model. She’s quirky and actually really funny, and those are things our brand stands for.”
The collection premieres in store and online July 16!
