We all know you shouldn’t text and drive. And now Victoria Justice is adding her voice to the mix – she just recorded a PSA for AT&T urging young drivers to be safe while on the road.
Titled ‘It Can Wait,’ the video features the Victorious star inviting viewers to visit www.itcanwait.com and take the pledge to not text and drive. Victoria says she’s taking the pledge for her younger sister Madison, who just turned 16. “I think it’s really important for me to set a good example as her big sister,” she says.
Victoria seems to be keeping busy and keeping her upbeat attitude despite the recent unexpected cancellation of her hit Nickelodeon series. She recently revealed to MTV News that she was caught off-guard by the news.
“Yeah, I was pretty shocked by Victorious ending — I had no idea,” she admitted. “I thought for sure we were going to be doing a fourth season, so I was expecting to get a call being like, ‘Hey guys, we’re coming back this day,’ but instead my castmembers were like, ‘Pssst….did you hear? We’re not picked up,’ so I was definitely surprised, but at the same time I think I’m definitely at peace with the decision because I’m 19, I’ve grown up on Nickelodeon and I’ve had a great time there but I’m excited to be able to explore new possibilities.”
