Hey, iCarly fans: We know you’re sad about your favorite series ending this year, but guess what? It just means you’ll be able to catch the show’s stars in other projects as they move on to other things. For example, how cool is it that we’ll be seeing Nathan Kress – who played Freddie Benson – on the big screen as he takes on his first feature film, Black Sky.
Nathan told Celebrity Teen Scoop exclusively about filming the the tornado thriller. “Shooting Black Sky this summer was an amazing experience,” he said. “It was my first time working on a huge feature film for a big studio, so I felt extremely nervous at first. But once I got acclimated, it was a total blast. Huge special and visual effects, an intense plot, awesome props, and an incredibly talented cast– I couldn’t ask for much more than that!”
You can still see Nathan in upcoming iCarly episodes, as Nickelodeon rolls out the remaining shows. Apparently one storyline has Freddie forming a rock band with his buddy Gibby (Noah Munck) – giving Nathan a chance to show his rock-star side.
As for the other iCarly stars, they’ve been keeping busy, too. Miranda Cosgrove is hitting the books during her freshman year at USC, and Jennette McCurdy is starring in Sam & Cat, an iCarly spinoff with Victorious actress Ariana Grande.
