Chloë Moretz stepped up to the podium at New York Comic Con at the Javits Center on Saturday (October 13). The actress was appearing on a panel with Julianne Moore – the two were promoting their upcoming remake of the 1976 horror classic Carrie.
The movie – which has been filming in Toronto, Canada – pairs the two actresses as mother and daughter. Chloë recently told ETOnline about the extremes she went to in order to fully embrace her character – the bullied high schooler with the supernatural powers.
The 15-year-old says she learned to sew so that she could make the dress she wears in the film’s iconic scene prom scene, where she gets doused in pig’s blood by her cruel classmates.
“I’m actually building my own dress and kind of going really deep into it, and I’ve never gone so deep into a role before,” she said. “Yeah, it’s cool, it’s a lot of work. Fun, but a lot of work.”View Slideshow »»
