Dakota Fanning showed off her new brunette locks at the Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 premiere at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. on Monday night (November 12). The 18-year-old – wearing a Elie Saab emerald green dress – took time to sign autographs on the red carpet. Her 14-year-old sister Elle Fanning also was in attendance.
Dakota told Yahoo! Movies, “Yes, it’s really me.”
She said the dark hair color was for a movie she just filmed.
The actress added, “I decided I needed a change… for the character I was playing I couldn’t be a blonde.” The “dress choice was totally dependent on my hair color.”
Referring to her character Jane in the movie – she noted, “It’s nice to let go, and know that your character is mean, and just have fun with it. It’s good to be bad.”
