With the final season of Victorious underway, fans are bracing themselves for the end of their beloved show. But they’ll still have plenty of chances to see one of their favorite Hollywood Arts High students in action – Ariana Grande.
The actress has lots of exciting projects in the works and talked exclusively with Celebrity Teen Scoop about life after Victorious. For starters, she’ll be appearing onstage in Pasadena Playhouse’s production of Snow White Christmas with Neil Patrick Harris, and she’s busy at work on her new Nickelodeon show Sam & Cat with iCarly‘s Jennette McCurdy. Proving once again that there is life after ‘high school’!
Celebrity Teen Scoop: Tell us about your role as Snow White in A Snow White Christmas. What is it like playing the lead role?
Ariana: We haven’t begun the performances yet, but I am really excited to be doing live theater again! I think it is going to be an amazing experience. The show is very different; it is a Panto, which is a modern interpretation that is very interactive. I am very excited about it.
CTS: What is your favorite part about doing live theater?
Ariana: Getting to interact with the audience and feel their energy, and knowing that you can’t go back to try something over again is very exciting.
CTS: What was it like working with Neil Patrick Harris?
Ariana: I met him for the first time the other day at a photo shoot. He was such a sweetheart! He’s very nice and down to earth.
CTS: We are currently in the final season of Victorious. How do you feel about the show coming to an end? Is it happy or bittersweet?
Ariana: Horrible, because I don’t want it to end! However, I am very happy that we are going out with a bang, as we have three Emmy nominations! It is ending in a positive way, and we are ending on our greatest season. The best is yet to air! It is still devastating and heartbreaking, and none of us are ready for it to end.
CTS: What are you going to miss most about working on Victorious?
Ariana: The people for sure…they are my best friends and family.
CTS: Any words of advice for young aspiring actors out there?
Ariana: Yes! Don’t ever be discouraged if you don’t get a role, because there are many other opportunities. Keep trying and practicing, and just be yourself and be comfortable. Don’t be nervous.
CTS: Do you have any other upcoming projects we can look out for?
Ariana: I am currently finishing my album and working on Sam & Cat, which is a new Nickelodeon pilot starring Jennette McCurdy and myself.
CTS: Do you have any fun plans for the holiday season?
Ariana: I am very excited for New Years, because I have some fun plans! I am also going to be working this holiday season.
