Justin Bieber, dressed to impress? The ‘Boyfriend’ singer is catching some criticism for wearing his finest white t-shirt and overalls to accept the Diamond Jubilee Medal – given to Canadians who have made great achievements abroad – from a formally attired Prime Minister Stephen Harper last Friday (November 23).
The 18-year-old posted this photo and tweeted: “I met the Prime Minister in overalls lol.” that immediately attracted some harsh comments. “You’re so disrespectful justin,” wrote one of his followers.
But the haters stepped back a little when Justin got some support from the Prime Minster himself. “In fairness to @justinbieber, I told him I would be wearing my overalls too,” Harper tweeted.
Later Justin defended himself, saying he simply didn’t have time to change his clothes. “The pic of me and the Prime Minister was taken in a room in the arena where I was performing at that day,” he wrote. “I walked straight from my meet and greet to him, if you…expect me to have a change of clothes let a loan…a suit at that specific time that’s crazy.
“It wasn’t like it was like I was going into his environment we were at a hockey arena.”
