Some Selena Gomez fans are getting an extra special holiday gift this year – the singer just announced that she’ll be hosting an exclusive concert for UNICEF on January 19. The show – that will take place at the Best Buy Theater in New York City – will be the third concert she’s hosted for the organization. Selena excitedly tweeted:
“2013 is a year of music for me and this is such a great way to kick it off. #Selenaunicef”
The 20-year-old singer is a UNICEF Ambassador and active supporter of UNICEF programs that provide nutrition, clean water, medicine, education, and more to children worldwide.
“Nothing is more important than helping children in need around the globe,” Selena said in a statement. “I’m thankful that I can use my voice to bring awareness and much-needed funds to UNICEF so they can continue their critical work. Together, with my fans, we can save lives.”
