Bridgit Mendler’s Dog Needs A Name

Bridgit Mendler‘s got a new pup! Only one problem – she’s having trouble coming up with a name. The singer/actress reached out to her fans via Twitter for some help, writing:

“Guys! Meet my little friend and new member of the Mendler family! Here’s the thing: still can’t choose a name… We’re thinking Nala or Pearl at this point… Any other ideas???”

One thing the 20-year-old doesn’t need help with: finding inspiration for her songs. In an interview this summer Bridgit talked about her songwriting process. “Anything [inspires me], really. I love stories so whatever seems like an interesting story that can be told in a fun and quirky way, I think that’s cool,” she said.

“There are a lot of relationship stories, that’s pretty much what [the record] is,” Bridgit revealed about her debut disc, ‘Hello, My Name Is…’. “I think it’s fun because those are really stories that people can get attached to emotionally and they are things that a lot of people can relate to and they are things that have such interesting, emotionally-charged stories, so people they gravitate towards them.

The 20-year-old singer/actress cuddled her new pet close in this picture posted to her Instagram, and asked her fans for help naming the pup.
