Dance Moms’ Brooke Hyland: “Nobody Really Treats Me Differently”

Dance Moms’ Brooke Hyland has been sharing photos of herself the past week. The 14-year-old is one of the dancers at Abby Lee Dance Company in Pennsylvania – along with her 11-year-old sister Paige. On January 3 she Tweeted: “We love school.”

She also shared one on December 30 of just herself hanging out in her room. Brooke recently did an interview with Dance Spirit talking about the third season of the Lifetime reality show.

On the way her mom is portrayed on the show: “Sometimes it can be too much with all the screaming and the fighting. But the only reason my mom is screaming and fighting is because she is sticking up for me, so I appreciate it.”

On getting along with her sister in real life as well as on the show: “Paige and I have our ups and downs like any sisters, but we get along most of the time!”

On what her friends at school think of her being on the show: “I’m pretty close with everyone in my school, so nobody really treats me differently. My friends think it’s super cool that I’m on TV, but they hate how I’m always away filming.”

The teen also added the worst part of being on Dance Moms is “the amount of time it takes. I never have time to hang out with my friends because of the show.”
