Selena Gomez appears on the cover of Nylon’s February 2013 cover and it looks like she stepped right off the set of her new film Spring Breakers. The 20-year-old poses in a bikini covered with a ‘basket weave’ jersey by Jeremy Scott for Adidas.
Inside Selena talks about her latest film, which should go a long ways towards shattering her Disney image for good. “I’ve told parents, ‘Make sure you don’t let your kids see Spring Breakers’, because with the title you could think it would be cute or something,” she warns. “I know it isn’t for the younger generation I have following me, but I’m also about to be 21.”
In reality, the actress says her life was far tamer than her character’s. “I don’t think I’ve even had a spring break. I had to have someone show me how to hold a cigarette,” Selena confesses.
“Harmony [Korine, director of Spring Breakers] was like, ‘It’s good that you don’t know. Maybe that’s a character trait!”
Selena‘s Nylon issue hits the newsstands on Tuesday, January 29th. In the meantime, read more of her interview over on Nylon.com.
