It looks like Cody Simpson is dreaming of a life on the water. ‘Paradise’ is the name of his newest album. He recently did a ‘reimagining’ of a Frank Ocean song, calling it ‘Super Beach Kids.’ Now the 16-year-old just posted a pic of himself along with the lyrics to Jay-Z’s ‘Beach Chair’, writing:
“I’m not afraid of dying, I’m afraid of not trying. Everyday hit every wave like I’m Hawaiian. Carving out my space in this world of fly girls. Cutthroats and diamond cut ropes I twirls…My physical’s a shell so when I say farewell my soul will find an even higher plane to dwell. So fly you shall. So have no fear, just know that life is but a beach chair.”
Cody hinted at a ‘beach’ theme in an interview a few months ago. “The album is called ‘Paradise,’ and with it, I really want my fans to get lost in their own personal paradise,” he said. “Everyone is going to have their own idea of paradise, and I want them to see it when they listen to the album.
“I also put some of my own ideas of paradise in there. Some of the songs have a really cool beachy vibe. I worked really hard on it, and the album is really unique to me. There are also some really fun dance songs on there, ‘So Listen’ will be a bonus track on the Deluxe Edition.”
