Ed Sheeran turns 22 today (February 17) and what better way to celebrate than by selling out a venue in one of the biggest cities in the country? The ‘A Team’ singer will be ringing in his big day with a sold-out show at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, Calif. Ed tweeted:
“Playing my biggest USA headline gig tonight. Nokia theatre! Sold out. Good way to spend a birthday”
And it sounds like the singer has something special in store for his fans. Earlier in the day he wrote, “Anyone coming to the gig, dress up in costume, we are all doing it.”
The rising British star had a huge moment at last week’s Grammy Awards – he performed his hit ‘The A Team’ along with Elton John at the ceremonies.
According to Ed, the duet was all Elton’s idea. “He put it together. He rung me up one day and said, ‘How would you feel about performing with me at the Grammys?’” Ed said in an interview with MTV. “I was like, ‘I’ll check my schedule.’”
