Kellan Lutz Lands ‘Hercules’ Role

VH1 Morning Buzz Guests

Kellan Lutz has landed the part in the $70 million movie Hercules 3D. The actor will be in Bulgaria in May to start filming.

Director Renny Harlin told The Hollywood Reporter, “It takes more than a good physique to portray the most legendary, mythological personality in history — and Kellan has exactly that personality. He’s not afraid to explore the strengths and vulnerabilities of the character, and he impressed me with his passion and heart.”

Hercules 3D will be a love story between the son of Zeus and the mortal princess of Crete – who was promised to his older brother despite her love for Hercules.

Harlin added, “This is a breakout role for Kellan and a chance to grow and shine as an actor.”

Last year the Twilight star told Dujour magazine, “I want to act for the rest of my life. I’ll win an Oscar one day, but I’m in no rush to get there. I don’t care if that takes me 50 years, and I’m old. I just love what I do.”
