Demi Lovato says she has fewer friends now. In the June issue of Company magazine – Demi shares her realization that the people who she thought were friends – didn’t keep in touch while she was in rehab.
According to E! News – The X Factor judge says, “A couple of months before I went to rehab, I had a birthday party and there were a couple of hundred people there. It was full of people who I considered my closest friends. When I turned my phone on after being in rehab for three months, I expected lots of text messages and phone calls. I had four texts. That was a wake-up call.”
The 20-year-old admits, “I don’t have loads of friends. I used to, but then I realized, do any of them actually care? Now I have people who, if I break my leg in the middle of the night, they’ll come to the hospital with me,” she said. “Or they’ll answer the phone at 4 a.m. if I need them.”
Demi’s single Heart Attack recently went platinum.
She tweeted her thanks saying, “So incredibly thankful for ALL OF YOU. God has blessed me with incredible fans!! 10 weeks?!!! Wow.. THANK YOU!!!!! Now who’s ready for #DEMI”
She added, “My purpose in life is to make a difference in this world…Having success is an amazing bonus. Thank you for supporting me and my message.”View Slideshow »»
