Hailee Steinfeld has landed a role in For The Dogs. The movie is based on an adaptation of the Kevin Wignall novel by Paul Leyden.
According to deadline.com – Steinfeld plays a teenager who works with an assassin (Sam Worthington) who agrees to help get revenge on those who murdered her parents and younger brother.
In a recent interview with Glamour – the 16-year-old mentioned the 2013 Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future award she will receive in June.
Asked if this is the “turning point in her career” she replied, “I do! This whole last year has been intense.”
On her starring role in Romeo and Juliet – Steinfeld said playing the lead “was definitely scary—I mean, it’s Shakespeare. I was attached early on, so I was part of the casting process with Romeo [played by Douglas Booth].”
The teen also said she’s close to her parents.
“I’m away from home for six weeks at a time, sometimes more, and it’s tough when I miss my dad. But he always says to me, “Are you having a good time?” And I really am. That’s why I’m here.”
