Wizards of Waverly star Jennifer Stone sure has a busy summer ahead! She and several cast mates and stars from TV shows like Jessie will soon appear live on stage for the Tween Stars Live 2013 Tour. Kicking off Saturday, July 27th, this family-friendly event gives kids the chance to see their fave stars up close and personal!
Stone took some time out of her busy schedule to chat with Celebrity Teen Scoop about how she got in to acting, her first role, and her favorite fashion period.
CTS: You had a long and successful run on Wizards of Waverly Place. What was that experience like?
Jennifer: “The experience was great! It was an opportunity to do what I love constantly for four years.”
CTS: What was it like to work with Selena Gomez and David Henrie? Are you all still pretty close?
Jennifer: “The whole cast was amazing! It’s hard to stay in touch, but we do our best.”
CTS: You are going on the Tween Stars Live Tour 2013 with other young stars in July. How are you preparing for the tour?
Jennifer: “I just can’t wait to meet everyone. I don’t know how else to prepare, but to contain my excitement.”
CTS: What are you looking forward to doing the most on the tour?
Jennifer: “I’m looking forward to meeting everyone. It is so cool to meet people from different places and I love getting the chance to thank everyone for their support.”
CTS: How did you get your start in acting? Do you remember your first audition?
Jennifer: “I got my start doing community theatre back in Texas. Yeah, my first audition was for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. I got a very small role with one line.”
CTS: Do you have any advice for young people trying to break into the acting industry?
Jennifer: “Find ways to be acting constantly! Whether it’s through theatre, classes, audition, or just doing script readings with your friends. You learn by doing!”
CTS: Which actors and actresses would you like to work with the most?
Jennifer: “There are so many. I would love to work with Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren, the list goes on and on. I just want to work with actors I can learn something from.”
CTS: What is one thing about yourself that is unique and interesting?
Jennifer: “Oh goodness! Well, I am fascinated by the Victorian era through the 1940’s. I love learning and collecting pieces from those times.”
CTS: Do you have any other upcoming projects we can all look out for?
Jennifer: “I have a new show coming out soon on Nickelodeon called Deadtime Stories and a thriller with Slasher Productions called Nothing Left To Fear.”
