The Wanted & Justin Bieber Collaborating On Edgy New Track

The Wanted At 1 Oak In Las Vegas

The Wanted really admire Justin Bieber’s song writing skills. Speaking to the Mirror Online Siva Kaneswaran, Max George, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness and Tom Parker – mentioned of collaborating with the 19-year-old on an edgy new track for their upcoming album.

Nathan explained, “The one thing that’s great about Justin Bieber is he’s really focused. No matter the amount that’s happened in his life he knows exactly where he wants to be and I respect that. We spent some time with him in America and after a show he said, ‘Mate I’m really buzzing about this new song do you want to come and check it out’. Then the next week he sent us a message and said his album wasn’t going to be ready in time for it.”

He continued, “He offered it to us and I was flattered because I was telling him he should make it his next single. We’re hoping he can get on the track for the album.”

Tom Parker added,  “The song is actually really good, Justin is a really good writer.”

Nathan went on to share the time when they invited Bieber to meet them for a drink in London.

“We spent a bit of time with him in London and rang us asking if we fancied meeting for a drink,” he revealed.

“At the time we were in like an underground pub in Covent Garden and thought, ‘we can’t bring Justin Bieber here, oh s***, shall we just go somewhere nice?’ But he insisted to join us. He turned up and bought himself a beer – but he didn’t buy me one the little so-and-so.”

Regarding the time when Nathan was not with the band because of his throat surgery – Tom was sympathetic.

He said, “It’s so good to have Nathan back, there was some talk at the label about what do we do if he can’t come back. Do we get rid of him or do we get someone new but we said listen, if he can’t sing then he’s an amazing pianist so get him in the band, just pay him a little bit less.”
