Chris Colfer is the latest Glee cast member to pay tribute to his costar Cory Monteith, who passed away on July 13. Chris posted this screen grab of him and Cory on Instagram and wrote:
“I’ll never forget all the laughs we shared or the faces we made after awkward interview questions. Love and miss you, buddy.”
Earlier this week Jenna Ushkowitz posted a heartfelt message for her friend. “I am so grateful that Glee brought this group of extraordinary individuals together to form a family,” she said. “I was lucky enough to closely experience the love and light that Cory shared with the world, as well as having the privilege of traveling down the road together on a once in a lifetime journey.
“Cory always reminded me to be gracious, kind and open, and he will leave a mark in my heart forever.”
To give cast members more time to deal with this tragedy, FOX announced that they will delay production on Glee, as well as moving back its fifth season premiere date.
“In light of the tragic passing of beloved Glee cast member Cory Monteith, the series’ executive producers, 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Broadcasting Company have jointly decided to delay the start of production of Glee until early August,” the network said in a statement released on July 19.
