Abigail Breslin posed with fellow honorees Jake T. Austin, Nina Dobrev, Tyler Posey, and Quvenzhane Wallis at the Variety Power of Youth event on Saturday (July 27). The 17-year-old actress was awarded for her dedication to her work with Project Sunshine.

Variety tweeted a photo and wrote: “Our #PowerofYouth honorees with Concetta Bencivenga of @generationOn and Brian Goldner of @HasbroNews”

The event was held on the Universal Studios backlot and included kid-friendly games, food trucks, and other young entertainers. Among them were Brandon T. Jackson,  Kiernan Shipka, Laura Marano and Dove Cameron.

Abigail later tweeted: “@JakeTAustin so glad we didn’t mess up our speeches.”

More good news for the teen. She just landed the role with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the zombie movie Maggie. According to The Hollywood Reporter the plot is described as “a “walking dead” virus spreads across the country, a farm family helps their eldest daughter come to terms with her infection as she slowly becomes a flesh-eating zombie.

Sounds intriguing!
