Chris Colfer struck a pose with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background for this pic he posted on Friday (August 16). The Glee star is in San Francisco as part of his book tour for his second ‘Land of Stories’ book, ‘The Enchantress Returns.’ He wrote, “Guess where I am!!! #TLOS2tour.”
The book is a big success – on Thursday Chris tweeted about its climb up the charts. “Amazing news!” he wrote “#TLOS2 is debuting as a New York Times Bestseller AND #TLOS is BACK on the list! Thanks to everyone who made this happen!”

In a recent interview with Parade magazine, the 23-year-old talked about what inspired him to write his popular children’s books. “When I was a little kid, I was in love with fairytales and kind of as a therapy, I imagined myself in the fairytale world and all the magical adventures that I wanted to have,” he said.
“I decided that I should take all that and put it into a book, and when I got older and got an opportunity, I made the book.”
But what is Chris‘ biggest inspiration? “My cat — he’s a trip,” he laughs. “He’s huge, he’s overweight, he’s overwhelming, he’s overbearing, he’s over a lot of things! In the book, I wrote about a huge, giant cat and it was kind of inspired by him, so I thought I’d give him a bit of a shot out in the back of the book, which he doesn’t care about, but oh well, I did it anyway!”
