Justin Bieber just released a promotional trailer for his upcoming documentary Believe, and in it he talks about having to keep up happy appearances even when he’s feeling down.
“You always gotta keep a smile on your face,” Justin tells the director of the film, John M. Chu. “Through all the negativity, you gotta hide your emotions sometimes, especially if you’re going on stage.” See the trailer below.
The singer goes on to describe a situation where he’s having a heated argument with someone (Selena Gomez, is that you?) on the phone, but has to put aside his anger and smile for his fans.
Believe is set to open on December 25 and features new interviews with Justin and appearances by his manager Scooter Braun, as well as musician friends Usher, Ludacris and Mike Posner.
“I am so excited to be involved in this movie, and so happy to be able to give back to my fans, especially during the holiday season,” the 19-year-old said in a statement. “Jon Chu and my team have done a wonderful job creating a special moment for Beliebers worldwide and I can’t wait till Christmas Day when the movie will be in theaters everywhere.”
