Four years after Taylor Swift saw her MTV Video Music Awards moment ruined when Kanye West stormed the stage and took the mic during her speech for Best Female Video, it sounds like the rapper might be feeling a little bit guilty. We said a little.
“You know what? I would not want some crazy drunk rock star cutting my daughter off also,” he admitted on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM morning show on Tuesday (October 29).
“But,” Kanye added, just when you thought maybe he was coming to his senses, “my daughter would 100-percent also be like, ‘Yes Beyoncé did have the best video.’ That’s what my daughter would do!”
Taylor did get a moment in the spotlight later in the show, when Beyoncé graciously invited the ’22′ singer to join her onstage during her speech for winning Video of the Year for ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).’
During Tuesday’s interview Kanye was also asked if he ever directly apologized to Taylor and he answered that he did talk to to her “right before she was going to do a song based on it.”
