The supposed feud between Taylor Swift and Victoria’s Secret model Jessica Hart has taken an interesting turn, with Jessica now praising Taylor and insisting she never had an unkind word for the ’22′ singer.
It all started when Taylor made a cameo on the runway of the Victoria’s Secret show last week, and Jessica remarked that Taylor “didn’t fit” with the rest of the girls. “I think what you find is that for a lot of us, we’ve been working for 14, 15 years; what it takes to make it here comes from experience and confidence and knowing how to be confident with yourself,” Jessica said. Ouch.
But now in a confusing statement meant to be an apology, the runway veteran says what Taylor does “is nothing” compared to modeling, while at the same time remarking that she “can’t imagine” ever dissing the Grammy winner. “I adore Taylor Swift, and I was so excited to be with her at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. What Taylor does on stage is nothing compared to what we do,” Jessica told Us magazine. What.
“I could never get up there and do what she does! She is a true rock star and she absolutely killed it the other night. Her song ‘Pieces’ was one of my favorite songs, and I own her first ever CD. I can’t imagine why I would have said anything bad about her.”
Taylor has not responded to any of the comments, but a PR person for Victoria’s Secret tried to diffuse the situation after Jessica’s initial remarks. “I can tell you that everyone at Victoria’s Secret was blown away by Taylor’s performance,” he said. “She could not be more beautiful or talented, that we felt extremely lucky to have her, and that she is welcome back to do the show anytime she wants.”
Let’s see what the PR team has to say about these latest comments. Stay tuned!
