One Direction is set to drop their third album ‘Midnight Memories’ next week (November 25) and that same day fans can also pick up the new issue of Billboard magazine that features Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne on the cover.
Inside the boys give an exclusive Q&A with the mag and talk about recording the album over the past three years – and why it wasn’t necessarily all work and no play. “I don’t think it’s that hard to stay focused,” Harry says. “We get to go to amazing places and work with great people. It’s just really fun.”
Zayne added, “I’m a night owl, so the late-night recordings don’t really bother me—as long as I can sleep in late!”
The band also talked about their exhaustive touring schedule that takes them all over the world – and how even teen superstars get homesick once in awhile. “Luckily, I have my four best mates on the road with me to keep me from getting lonely; of course we all miss home at times,” Niall said. “Who wouldn’t, being on the road all year long? Wouldn’t give it up for anything though.”
About the future of the band, the boys assure fans there’s more One Direction to come. “We just love what we’re doing right now. We’ve got no intention to change that,” Liam said. And Louis sounds equally optimistic. “Who knew we would be here three years ago? We’re just going to focus on tomorrow and go from there.
