Nothing like your hometown crowd! Selena Gomez got lots of love from her native state of Texas on Thanksgiving day when she performed during the halftime performance at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.
The event was to help kick off the Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle campaign and Selena is a big supporter. “Proud to be performing for a great organization today during the @DallasCowboys game. Support @SalvationArmyUS,” she tweeted.

The 21-year-old performed three songs, kicking off her set with ‘Like A Champion’ backed by a stage full of dancers, flag bearers and cheerleaders. Selena finished with fan-favorite ‘Come & Get It’ and then wished the cheering Cowboys Stadium crowd a “Happy Thanksgiving.”
Selena has been in the news recently because of a public war-of-words with 16-year-old pop star Lorde – the ‘Royals’ singer criticized Selena‘s hit ‘Come And Get It’ for the way it portrays women.
“That’s not feminism. (Lorde) is not supporting other women,” Selena said, referring to Lorde’s frequent judgmental comments about other fellow performers. “That’s my honest opinion, that’s what I would say to her if I saw her. I actually covered her song in all of my shows that I’ve done so far. I’m not sure if I’m going to continue that.”
