On who he calls for advice: “Most of the time if I’m in a pickle I’ll call one of my brothers. They’ve usually got somewhat uplifting advice. One is six and a half years older and one is eight years older, so they’ve probably lived through whatever my problem is.”

Ian Somerhalder Hosts Strut Your Mutt Fundraiser

Ian Somerhalder posted a sweet photo of himself and a dog at a kissing booth at the Best Friends Animal Society’s annual Strut Your Mutt fundraiser on Saturday (September 22). The Vampire Diaries star is teaming up with the charity – held in Lafayette, Louisiana – to try to raise $150,000 for a project which will go to abused animals and a teaching facility for kids who have bullied others.

Miley Cyrus Is Going To The iHeart Radio Music Festival

Miley Cyrus met up with a few friends – including celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan – at an airport in Burbank, Calif. on Friday (September 21) before taking off for the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

The singer was dressed in cutoff shorts, a black sleeveless shirt and platform high-tops and her newly cropped locks appeared to be even blonder. Although, Miley‘s getting pretty tired of comments about her hair – after the MTV Video Music Awards she took to Twitter to complain about being compared to fellow attendee Pink. “Woahh 2 girls have blonde short hair! The whole world should go in to panic mode. Redickkkk,” she wrote.

Ed Sheeran Reveals Taylor Swift’s Songwriting Secrets

We already know that Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift wrote a song together on a trampoline for Taylor’s upcoming album Red, but now Ed is revealing some other unusual songwriting habits of his friend and collaborator.

“Taylor writes songs in all different situations,” Ed told MTV News. “I remember we went out. Where did we go? I think we were in the car to the studio and she took her phone out and mumbled something and sort of put it back. And I was like ‘What was that?’ and she was like ‘Oh, I was just singing down ideas.’ ”
