Monique Coleman has had a successful career as an actress, first co-starring in all three of Disney’s High School Musical movies as the character Taylor McKessie and then her recurring role on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Monique: The ‘Sing For Self Esteem’ contest is about helping young people get closer to their dreams. It’s also an opportunity to win cool prizes by singing an inspirational song about positive self esteem.

If you were sad that One Direction couldn’t show up for the Teen Choice Awards then you can smile again since the band will be performing live at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards September 6.
British cuties – Zayn Malik, 19, Liam Payne, 18, Harry Styles, 18, and Louis Tomlinson, 20 – will rock the stage at the Staples Center. The boys are nominated for Best New Artist. Also in the running in the same category are Carly Rae Jepsen and The Wanted.
Nick Jonas is reportedly close to being an American Idol judge. The 19-year-old singer is in talks to replace one of the spots held by Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson.
A source told US Weekly, “Nick is pretty close to signing to be the Idol judge. They flew him in to L.A. last week for final meetings.”
Hailee Steinfeld was on the set of Can A Song Save Your Life? in New York City on Monday (July 30). The 15-year-old actress was in character as Violet – a high school student with a music producer father who falls in love with a young singer-songwriter who is new to Manhattan.
In her retro look – Hailee wore flower jeans shorts, white knotted top and lots of bangles. She also carried a bag with an anarchy symbol. Mark Ruffalo, Keira Knightley and Adam Levine also are in the cast.
