Zac Efron Gets An L.A. Surprise

Zac Efron was seen walking back to his car in Los Angeles, Calif. on Tuesday (June 12). Unfortunately it wasn’t his lucky day for the actor found a parking ticket on his windshield. He had parked in a handicap spot!

He’s made headlines this week for being single again. According to US Weekly- the 24-year-old is no longer dating Lily Collins. Reportedly the pair dated for three months  after first being spotted together holding hands at a dinner party in February.

A source says, “They’re no longer together. They were never serious, though; it was just a casual thing and it fizzled. They were never in the same place at the same time.”

One friend told the magazine, “It’s true that their schedules are crazy right now, which isn’t conducive to a relationship being easy” while another shared, “Zac was never very serious about her. He didn’t talk about her to friends.”

It’s true that Zac has been busy traveling the world this spring.

In April he was in Australia to promote The Lucky One and more recently he was at the Cannes Film Festival to talk about Paperboy.

Liam Hemsworth Is In An ‘Empire State’ Of Mind

Liam Hemsworth was snapped on the set of his latest movie, Empire State, in New Orleans on Tuesday (June 12). The actor was dressed as a policeman for his role in the action-heist flick.

The Hunger Games star has been in the news a lot over the past few days, but not for his acting career – he proposed to girlfriend Miley Cyrus last week with a 3.5 carat diamond ring.

Apparently the young couple – Liam is 22 and Miley is only 19 – had to convince Miley’s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, that they were mature enough to get married.

“Billy Ray has always been super-protective of Miley,” said a friend close to the Cyrus family. “While he’s become very fond of Liam — as has the entire family — Billy Ray was just worried about Miley still being a teenager.

“On top of that, there’s the whole entertainment world thing, where so many young stars get married young, and then it falls apart fairly quickly,” the source added. “He obviously didn’t want that to happen to his Miley.”

Justin Bieber: “I Owe A Lot Of My Success To Social Media”

Justin Bieber is on this week’s issue of Billboard. Just in time since his new album Believe will be released on June 19. The magazine piece on Justin has the singer talking about one of the songs that could be about girlfriend Selena Gomez.

The tune Be Alright was written when he was in Japan during his last tour. It’s about the challenges of a long distance relationship.

He says,”That song is really special to me. Listeners will be able to get where I’m coming from, because long distance relationships are hard–being overseas, or in a different place in general, and having to maintain a relationship is tough. In the song, I’m letting the other person know that everything’s going to be alright.”

Justin also shares his appreciation that social media had helped his career.

“Your life is out there a lot more, especially nowadays when everybody has a HD camera phone on them at all times. But my whole career launched from the Internet, so without it, I feel like I wouldn’t even be here. I owe a lot of my success to social media, to Twitter, to YouTube and Facebook. It is also a great way to interact with fans.”

As for being 18 – his manager Scooter Braun thinks Justin still has a lot to learn.

He says, “Adult artist? Just because he’s legal now doesn’t mean he’s an adult. He still needs guidance; he’s still finding his way. He’s no longer a boy, but he’s definitely not yet a man.”

Blake Lively: I Don’t Need A Stylist

The July issue of Marie Claire features Gossip Girls’ Blake Lively. Following the red theme on the cover – the actress has her hand on her hip posing in a red satin blazer. The 24-year-old sat down with Nina Garcia to talk about fashion and her new film Savages.

On not having a stylist: “My assistant will call fashion houses for me, but I always pick the outfit, shoes, jewelry, and a lot of times I do my own hair and makeup for events. Sometimes I think, God, why do I do this to myself? It’s so much extra work!”

On why she doesn’t need extra help: “Because I love fashion. It’s such an expression of self. I often see people and they look great, but I can identify who styled them. Every stylist has a signature. Maybe it sounds jerky, but I’m lucky to be on such a fashion-centric show [Gossip Girl]. There’s no designer I don’t have access to.”

On the public’s perception of her: “People like to draw parallels between my life and the scandalous stories on Gossip Girl. I dress the same as my character, so they think; she lives this life on and off set. I recently shared how many boyfriends I’ve had [four], and people were like, “That’s impossible!” But it’s true. I’ve been with very few people. If I’m not with somebody who really excites or inspires me, then I’d rather be by myself.”

On the hardest part of getting ready for her role in Savages: “I went to the gun range and learned how to shoot a gun for the first time. It was awful. I asked myself, why were these things ever invented? But I did feel good that my first three shots were straight to the heart. It’s good to know – don’t mess with me in a gun battle.”
