In a humorous and candid look at a reporter’s view on interviewing Justin Bieber - GQ has published an article as well as a photo spread on the 18-year-old pop star in the June issue.
Most of the time the writer Drew Magary is waiting for Justin to just show up for the interview – which is scheduled at the recording studio. When he does get one-on-one time with Justin – he appears guarded but does reply to a few of the questions.
When asked if he’s ever drunk to the extreme – he says, “For me, it’s just like, I like to be in control of myself. I mean, I’ve had a beer, like, before…. But I never get out of control.”
His manager Scooter Braun later responded, “He knows that I hold him to a high standard…. He doesn’t want to blow it.”
As with fame there comes being careful on who Justin hangs out with.
He says, “I mean, I keep my guard up a lot, because you know, you can’t trust anyone in this business. That’s what’s sad. You can’t trust anybody. I learned the hard way.”
